 Our Story

AK Pioneer Consulting (AKPC) is a CDOT certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprise and a woman-owned small business founded by Kimberly Bailey and Amie Gray. AKPC has offices in Bailey, CO . AKPC’s Principal Investigators bring over 20 years of combined experience managing and conducting cultural resource studies to every project. We regularly assist our clients in meeting the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), Sections 106 and 110 and the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) compliance requirements through the completion of archaeological and architectural inventories, National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) eligibility testing and evaluation, adverse effects mitigation and plans, artifact cataloging and laboratory analysis, and document preparation. We have extensive experience in visual impact analysis for Section 106 and NEPA compliance.

Our mission is to perform high quality cultural resource studies while guiding our clients through the compliance process. Depending on location, the types of permits and approvals that are required for projects to move forward varies. AKPC staff stay current on changes to regulations at the federal, state, county, and city levels to better advise our clients. We save time and money through due diligence. Our success is a result of our strong commitment to open and clear communication with clients and reviewing agencies.

Our team of professional archaeologists and historians have a proven record meeting state and federal standards and requirements. We do it right the first time! This means shorter agency review periods and cost savings for our clients.
